Ojai hosts Renaissance Faire and Pirate Festival





The 20th annual Ojai Renaissance Faire and Pirate Festival will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat. and Sun., April 4 and 5 at Lake Casitas in Ojai.

Attendees who bring a nonperishable food item for FOOD Share will receive $1 off the ticket price. Visitors are encouraged to come in period costume.

The event will have two stages with continuous entertainment; battle reenactments and demonstrations; an outdoor marketplace with more than 55 juried merchants and artists offering original handcrafted items and period clothing, armament, fine jewelry, original art and pottery; and a full food court with a variety of food, such as barbecued turkey legs, English bangers, sausages and desserts.

King Richard’s Tavern will serve Newcastle ale, wine and adult beverages.

Approximately 3,000 to 5,000 visitors attend each year’s event. All-inclusive admission is $16 for adults, $8 for children under 12, and free for children 4 and under. Weekend passes and group rates are also available.
