Off-road driver

DOWN AND OUT—Rescue workers extract what was reported to be a very expensive McLaren F1 sports car from a ravine off Latigo Canyon Road near Malibu April 28. A witness reportedly told officials the driver of the vehicle was racing on the curvy road, and that after the wreck occurred he climbed up the hillside, got into another car and left the scene. The name of the owner hasn’t been released. “It’s a big problem,” Malibu Search and Rescue leader Dave Katz told The Acorn. “People come with fast cars that they control and endanger others.” Courtesy of Malibu SAR
