Oak Park wins football opener

The Oak Park football team won its opening game vs. Kern Valley last Saturday night, 34-6, behind the stellar performance of senior Monte McNair who returned a punt for a 65-yard touchdown, caught a pass for a 10-yard TD from quarterback Brendon Anderson (2 for 6 passing for 27 yards) and kicked four extra points.
Eagles’ running back Steel Weginer ran for 162 yards on 19 carries, 140 coming in the decisive first half, in which Oak Park held Kern Valley to 14 yards total offense...
