Oak Park garden back in bloom

The Oak Park Community Garden is celebrating spring with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., April 28 at 401 Kanan Road.

Admission to the open house is free.

Members of the Oak Park Gardeners will provide information about the garden and give tours.

Applications will be available for those interested in renting a parcel.

The Oak Park Community Garden is an activity committee of the Community Foundation for Oak Park and is on land owned and operated by the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District.

The purpose is to maintain an organic community garden that will provide education and beautification for the community.

Presently, 70 parcels have been allocated to residents, who have planted a large assortment of vegetables and fl owers.
