Success and tragedy marked the past year in Oak Park.
Improvements to Oak Park schools got underway in 2009 as part of Measure R, the $29.4million bond measure passed by voters on the third try in November 2008. Gone are the potholes, cracks and rocky dirt that once marked the Oak Park High parking lot. The renovated lot now features smooth concrete, additional spaces and a car pool lane.
