Nominees being sought for Sunday School Teacher of the Year

For many Sunday School teachers, teaching is its own reward. However, thanks to an annual contest, it’s possible to honor those special individuals who continue to make a difference in the lives of children, youth, and adults.

The Sunday School Teacher of the Year award is a way for churches of all Christian faiths to honor the more than 15 million Sunday School teachers across America for their dedication, hard work and life-changing impact on students’ lives.

The winning teacher receives a vacation for two to Hawaii and their church will receive a $500 gift certificate redeemable for Sunday School teaching resources.

The Sunday School Teacher of the Year recipient is honored on Sunday School Teacher Appreciation Day, the third Sunday in October. The event is sponsored by Gospel Light, an organization which provides biblical resources for Christian education.

Nominations are due on or before August 31, 2003.
