The Agoura Hills Library presents the following activities in April. The library is at 29901 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills.

N a t i o n a l L i b r a r y Week 2006 will be celebrated with a countywide book sale and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., April 1. The book sale will be in the Book Cellar and the bake sale will be at the library’s front entrance.

The library will continue the week-long celebration with three special activities for children:

Mon., April 3 at 3:30 p.m.: Meet Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of “Little House on the Prairie,” as portrayed by Judith Helton. Tues., April 4 at 3:30 p.m.: Agoura Hills Mayor Denis Weber reads “Actual Size” and “The Best Pet of All.” The program will include stories, crafts and refreshments.

Municipal Water District presents the “New Water” show featuring “Water Pirates of Neverland” and “Ocean’s 31/2,” a free play to teach students about water.

Every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m., the library is offering “Computers for Beginners.” Learn how to use the mouse and to search the Internet and the library online catalogue. For reservations, call Ted Lieber at (818) 889-2278.

The library has a part-time position available. Call the library for more information.

The Book Cellar is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It offers books for children and adults, books-on-tape, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes and more, including recent publications and bestsellers. Prices start at 50 cents for paperback books and hardcover books are $1.
