No on Steinhardt

Here are some of the statements during water board meetings by Barry Steinhardt:

“I need to use my cellphone during LVMWD board meetings. I sometimes have to conduct my business from here.” (June 24, 2014)

“I need an extra day’s per diem to travel to Claremont.”

“I didn’t have time to read the materials for this meeting. I was busy.” (May 27, 2014. The document in question was delivered to him on May 19.)

Steinhardt has repeatedly said he doesn’t trust professional engineers and other consulting experts, discounting master plans and needed construction projects. (including May 27, 2014)

Steinhardt wants to hide the identities of his campaign con- tributors. (LVMWD board meeting June 24, 2014)

Steinhardt says: “There’s no growth going on this region; we don’t need any new water infrastructure.” (May 27, 2014)

But what about the new Target development in Westlake, the new Riopharm housing development on Agoura Road, a mixeduse/ housing development at the Calabasas Inn site, the proposed Canyon Oaks project of homes and commercial in Calabasas and the Hilton Garden Inn expansion in Calabasas?

Steinhardt says: “We don’t need a water tank,” and has voted against it repeatedly.

Steinhardt told the public: “LVMWD charges the highest water rates in the region.”

The truth is, LVMWD has the lowest water rates in the region.

If you have patience, watch his antics at the Feb. 25 meeting on “Approval of Minutes” at www.lvmwd.com/about-us/ board-meeting-videos. Still not convinced? Watch the January 14, 2014 board meeting and others.

Steinhardt works very hard representing the interests of his friends, relatives and a political blogger, all from Westlake Village, having several times read letters from WLV residents at LVMWD board meetings. (LVMWD board meeting March 26, 2013 and others).

He was elected to represent Agoura Hills.

Vote for someone else.
