No affiliation needed to attend Chabad services

Chabad of the Conejo will hold its High Holiday services in the Creative Arts Theater on the campus of Lindero Canyon Middle School, 5844 Larboard Lane in Agoura Hills.

Auxiliary services will take place at eight other locations throughout the Conejo Valley.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, will be celebrated starting Sunday evening, Sept. 25. Yom Kippur begins at sundown Tues., Oct. 4.

The services are open to all Jews. There are no membership fees or prior affiliation necessary to attend services.

Hebrew-English prayer books (machzorim) are provided.

A Junior Congregation program that includes prayers, stories, games, prizes and refreshments will be available for children ages 3 through 11.

The traditional service is blended with contemporary insights. Many of the prayers and customs are explained during services.

Prior reservations to attend are not needed but are encouraged so that a seat can be saved.

There is a suggested donation for the reserved seats, but discounted or complimentary seats are available by calling the number above.
