New theatre camp formed in Calabasas





Bill Garrett, director of the Calabasas High School theatre program, announced recently the formation of a summer theatre program for children in kindergarten through 12th grade at the CHS main stage facility. The program is scheduled for June 20 through July 29; however, students may elect to attend one of the two, three-week sessions.


The camp will run from 8 a.m. to noon daily.


Theatrical activities to be offered include acting, dancing, singing, stage combat, technical theatre, improvisation and writing. The camp will produce a revue for friends and family at the end of each session.


Other camp faculty includes Fletcher Reel, technical director of the CHS performing arts department, Alana Loewe, singing and musical theatre teacher and Jennifer Currier, professional dancer and choreographer.
