New school to be named after Las Virgenes District pioneer

The Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD)Board of Education voted last week on a name for the new Calabasas middle school.
The 35-classroom school, which is scheduled to open next fall, will be called Alice C. Stelle Middle School.
Stelle, an 80-year-old Hidden Hills resident, helped form LVUSD in the early 1960s.
