Dashboard goes beyond test scores

Oak Park and Las Virgenes unified school districts are preparing for a new accountability system by the state that reportedly measures student success more accurately.
The California School Dashboard, a website that will use multiple sources to present information on how well students, schools and school districts are performing, will replace the Academic Performance Index (API), which gave a numerical score to indicate how well schools met state educational standards.
