Steven Wolvek of Simi Valley is serving this year as master of Conejo Valley Masonic Lodge No. 807 in Thousand Oaks.

He succeeds past master Brandon Lippincott of Calabasas.

The local lodge was established in 1961. Wolvek said, “I will do my best to maintain that and enhance the lodge’s legacy.

“It is my priority this year to bring our Masonic families together for more events and social gatherings,” said Wolvek, who will be 62 in June. “Not just our wives, children and others but also our Masonic families, our local Scottish Rite, York Rite bodies, the Shriners, the High 12 Club and our youth orders: DeMolay, Job’s Daughters and Rainbow Girls.

“We will also focus on more community outreach with a clothing drive for the Midnight Mission, a toy drive for the children at our Shriner Hospitals and our Burgers for Badges where we can honor all of those who protect and serve our local communities,” said Wolvek.

An All-American High School and college swimmer, Wolvek studied political science at Cal State Northridge, and received his juris doctorate from the University of La Verne in 1990.

Since then, he has been an attorney, and also for the past two years a real estate agent, personal branding marketer and coach.

He was initiated a Mason, passed to the degree of Fellowcraft and raised to Master Mason all in 2013 at Granada Hills Lodge No. 378.

Wolvek held several offices at Granada Hills Lodge, including the fraternal support services ambassador, Hall Association president, trustee, junior deacon, Shrine Club president, junior warden and senior warden.

He also served in Van Nuys as the first master of Clarence F. Smith Daylight Lodge No. 866 (under dispensation) in 2017. He was the first master of that lodge when it was newly chartered in 2018, and was the Hiram Award Honoree in 2019.

Wolvek joined the Conejo Valley Lodge and served as its senior warden in 2019.

He and his wife, Shari, have three children: Rebecca Wolvek, Marisa London and Jason London.
