Needy residents can get food, shelter

Churches serve free evening meals through late fall


Many residents are unable to obtain the necessities of life.

To address this need, the Conejo Valley Meals program has enlisted the services of houses of worship and service clubs, including the Rotary Club of Westlake Village, to provide dinner to all.

Additionally, overnight shelter will be available from December through March at various sites.

The meals program only, with dinner at 6:30 p.m., is available from through November at the following sites:

Sunday: St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 1 Church Road, Thousand Oaks.

Monday: Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 W. Avenida de Los Arboles, Thousand Oaks.

Tuesday: Calvary Community Church, 5495 Via Roca, Westlake Village.

Wednesday: Westminster Presbyterian Church, 32111 Watergate Road, Westlake Village.

Thursday: Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 588 Camino Manzanas, Thousand Oaks.

Friday: United Methodist Church of Thousand Oaks, 1000 E. Janss Road.

Saturday: St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 2475 Borchard Road, Newbury Park.
