“The Merry Wives of

Falstaff plans to seduce Mistresses Ford and Page to gain
their husbands’ wealth but the
women turn the tables on him.
The merry wives plot to prevent Mistress Page’s daughter
Anne from marrying the man
she loves.
In “Richard III,” physically
deformed Richard plans to seize
the throne from his brother Edward IV and causes another
brother, Clarence, to be arrested
and murdered.
In his mad rise to power, he
woos a prince’s widow in the
presence of her husband’s
corpse, has the young heir and
his brother murdered and removes all who stand in his way.
