More summer fun ahead in Agoura Hills




The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services continues to accept enrollments for its summer camp program for youth ages 11 to 16. “Adventure Club” is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays are “High Adventure Days” and cost $45. Friday’s trips cost $35.

Upcoming trips include Knott’s Soak City, Disneyland, California Adventure, and Hurricane Harbor.Adventure Club will meet at Yerba Buena Elementary School.

Team packets are now available for the fall 2006 adult basketball league.The league plays on Sundays from 6 to 10 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Agoura Hills/ Calabasas Community Center.

Play will start the week of Sept. 10.The manager’s meeting will be at 8 p.m. Wed., Aug. 16 at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center.

The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services and Neftin Westlake Volkswagen/ Volvo announce the final concert in the summer “Concerts in the Park” series for this summer.

The Perfect Gentlemen will perform at 6 p.m. Sun., Aug. 6 at Chumash Park, 5550 Medea Valley Drive, Agoura Hills. They are a Grammy award-nominated a cappella singing group. The concert supporter for the concert is Ventura County Star. Admission is free and attendees may bring picnic baskets.
