I may be showing my age, but I remember the days before the gas-powered leaf blowers. I miss the quiet. I even miss the sound of leaves being raked.
Remember rakes? I also didn’t have nightmares about piles of leaves that have not been completely removed from every square inch of my yard or sidewalk.
I think our society survived just fine before those noisy, smelly, peace-disturbing machines became standard equipment for every self-respecting gardener and some homeowners.
