Messianic synagogue hosts High Holiday services


 

 

Beth Emunah Messianic Synagogue will host what it calls “a unique and inspiring combination” of outdoor and virtual-only services for the Jewish High Holidays, with special musical guests and children’s activities.

All services are free and membership is not required. Attendees may consider a donation in lieu of tickets.

Masks are required and social distancing will be enforced at in-person live services.

All services will also be livestreamed on the synagoguge’s YouTube channel.

All outdoor services will be held in the amphitheater at Oak Canyon Park, 5600 Hollytree Drive, Oak Park. All services will take place at the park unless designated as livestream only.

Following is the schedule of services.

Erev Rosh Hashanah Service at 7 p.m. Fri., Sept. 18 on livestream only.

Rosh Hashanah morning service at 10 a.m. Sat., Sept. 19. Tashlikh will immediately follow the morning service

Yom Kippur Kol Nidrei Service with Ahavat Zion Synagogue at 7 p.m. Sun., Sept. 27. Livestream only.

Yom Kippur morning service at 10 a.m. Mon., Sept. 28.

Neilah (concluding service) at 6 p.m. Sept 28.

Beth Emunah calls itself “a diverse, dynamic, and welcoming spiritual family” in Agoura Hills, serving the Conejo valley since 1997.

The synagogue also operates a food pantry on Wednesdays, distributing thousands of pounds of food each week to those in need.

The synagogue is open to all who are Jewish, intermarried, or just curious.

The rabbi is Rabbi Joshua Brumbach.
