Marmonte honors fall’s finest





The Marmonte League has announced its All-League teams in football, boys’ water polo, and girls’ golf, tennis and volleyball.

Many area athletes were recognized for their accomplishments during the fall season. Here is a rundown of the local players that made the squads.

Football

League MVP: John Lister of Thousand Oaks.

Offensive MVP: Tim Vizzi of Moorpark.

Defensive MVP: Corey Sandoval of Moorpark.

Lineman of the Year: Brenden Daley of Moorpark.

Varsity Coaching Staff of the Year: Moorpark High staff including head coach Tim Lins and assistants John Kidder, Ron Wilford, Dan DiNapoli, Rich Yancy, Mark Shihabi, Jerry Rohach, Ryan Huisenga, Gus Guardino and Matt Smith.
