Detectives from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station arrested a Reseda man Jan. 7 on suspicion of multiple counts of mail theft, credit card fraud and identity theft involving local residents.

While conducting a search inside the Reseda home of Wilfredo Marquez, 32, detectives recovered a slew of stolen credit cards, bank checks, driver licenses, mail box keys and other personal identification information that Marquez allegedly pilfered, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department said.

The crimes occurred over the past several months in Malibu, Agoura Hills, Moorpark, Chatsworth, Simi Valley and Canoga Park, officials said.

Investigators from the United States Postal Inspection Service assisted in the arrest. Marquez was booked at the Lost Hills station and his case will be presented to federal prosecutors.
