HOW DID HE DO THAT?— Naomi Finkel of Westlake Village helps Stephen“The Spectacular” Levine perform an illusion during Daniel’s Day of Magic April 8 at the Cancer Support Community in Westlake. The annual event is a tribute to Daniel Jacoby, a former CSC president and lover of magic who died in 2004 of a brain tumor at the age of 38.
A VERY SPECIAL DAY—Above, from left, are volunteers Alexa Jabbour from Thousand Oaks, Tricia Lethcoe and Maryam Khatibzadeh from Thousand Oaks helping to serve ice cream during the event for individuals and families affected by cancer. Below, volunteer Ella Belsky, 12, from Oak Park paints the face of Clayton Goldwater, 7, of Thousand Oaks.
