LVUSD sells high school land

Homeowners on Hummingbird Way in Calabasas are keeping Calabasas High School’s new student parking lot at arm’s length.
Worried that the 120-space parking lot on the north side of the campus would infringe on their homes, the homeowners bought four small pieces of land from Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD) to serve as a buffer zone.
Calling it excess property, LVUSD agreed to sell the parcels to the homeowners for a fair market value of $40,000.
