‘Lunch and Learn’




This summer, the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce will present a “Wednesday Lunch and Learn” business seminar series at the chamber’s Janet Levett Conference Center, 600 Hampshire Road, Ste. 202, Westlake Village.

The seminars are free to chamber members; nonmembers can attend for $10. Attendees can bring a brownbag lunch to eat during the presentation.

Intellectual Property: Strategies to Enhance Financing and Operational Success from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wed., July 11 presented by Steven Lehat, JD, Ventura County Bar Association.

Lehat will discuss the importance of a company’s intellectual property (trademarks, patents, copyright); how protecting IP enhances profits; protecting IP as a magnet for investors; use of insurance to protect IP and the bottom line; how licensing IP gives products a second life and use of IP to multiply market reach.

The Art of Business Networking from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wed., July 18 presented by John LaRocca, Sage Bankcard, Sarah Shirazi Reznick, Edward Jones and Nicole Winner of Winner Quotes Insurance.

The seminar will cover: how to meet, greet, network and get qualified leads; the five biggest networking mistakes; how to feel comfortable with cold introductions; how to manage leads; how to choose power partners, and critiquing the results.

This session will be held the same day as the chamber’s Networking at Night Mixer. Attendees can learn at lunch and practice that evening at the mixer.
