Low-income homeowners might get help

Calabasas city officials considered a proposal last week to create a financing program that will help low-income property owners who need to make improvements to comply with the city’s building codes.
The program is intended to help finance costly repairs for low-income residents who face code violations. It would help put an end to enforcement cases involving severely dilapidated properties, a city report said.
