Brian Lovatt, 17, the son of Les and Marsha Lovatt of Agoura Hills, will attain the rank of Eagle Scout in an Eagle Court of Honor at 2 p.m. on Sun., April 14 at Rockwell Scientific Center, Thousand Oaks. Scoutmaster Mel Krone will make the presentation. Lovatt is a member of Troop 775 sponsored by United Methodist Church of Westlake Village.


Lovatt’s service project benefited Villa Esperanza Ranch, a residential facility for developmentally disabled adults. He built a meditation and relaxation area for residents, providing benches, landscaping and a pathway to a quiet, secluded area. Working with 16 helpers, Lovatt logged 132 hours in completing his project.


An 11th grader at Agoura High School, Lovatt has been involved in Scouting since 1993.


He served as a senior patrol leader for his troop, earned 27 merit badges and is a member of the Order of the Arrow-Brotherhood.
