Lost Hills Station to host Open House





The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station will host an Open House from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 23 at 27050 Agoura Road, Calabasas.


Families are invited to attend and learn about public safety.


Special appearances will be made by an L.A. County Fire Department’s helicopter, an Urban Search and Rescue vehicle and a paramedic squad. The L.A. County search dogs will also participate.


Displays and demonstrations from various L.A. County Sheriff’s Department resources will be presented. Guests can see a helicopter and squad car, the arson/explosives unit, the SWAT team, a canine unit/narcotics dog and the mounted posse. Also participating will be the Malibu/Lost Hills Mountain Rescue Team and the bicycle deputies. There will be a DUI demonstration using guest volunteers as drivers. The Team Sheriff drag race car and driver, Dep. Bill Chaffin, will be there.


Attendees can get locked in jail and there will be special activities for children. Food and beverages will be available from local vendors. Please park at commercial buildings across the street.
