Erin and Scott Macdonald and their three sons, 7-year-old twins, Eric and Ryan, and Alex, 5, of Calabasas will be featured in a new reality TV show called "Take My Kids, Please." It will air at 10 p.m. Fri., Oct. 15 on the Women’s Entertainment Network (WETV).

A scout from WETV found the Macdonalds one day while Erin was at the park with her boys. After the recruiter asked some questions to find out if the Macdonalds met certain criteria, an on-camera audition was scheduled and the family was selected.

"Take My Kids, Please" presents married couples with at least three children who haven’t gone away together in a long time. The couple must know someone single with whom they can leave their children while Mom and Dad are sent away for a special weekend. Just like the title implies, the single friend takes the kids for the weekend. Erin Macdonald’s sister, Kelli Schatz, was the perfect single to take the Macdonalds’ kids.

WETV sent Erin and Scott to the St. Regis Hotel in Dana Point while Aunt Kelli came to babysit. The catch was that Schatz and the kids couldn’t use any electronics, such as TVs, VCRs, DVDs or computers. And the babysitter had to cook––there’s no takeout or restaurants.

In addition, Schatz had to take the boys fishing and to Chuck E. Cheese (for entertainment only)—all this while cameras were recording the aunt and her three nephews.

A second camera crew followed the happily married couple to Dana Point. They had lots of fun things to do.

"They treated us like royalty," said Erin Macdonald. "It was perfect because it was near our 10-year anniversary."

Schatz works for Power106 radio and hasn’t had children of her own to raise.

How did she do? Well, viewers can watch on Friday to find out. For those who don’t get WETV, Erin said of her sister, "She did remarkably well, but when we got home she was ready to bolt."
