WELCOME—Living Oaks Community Church invites the community to take a tour of its new kids and students center in Newbury Park.

Living Oaks Community Church will present an open house for its new kids and students center from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wed., Sept. 5 at the church campus, 1033 Business Center Circle, Newbury Park.

The evening will feature free ice cream and door prizes. Community members can tour the facility, meet the leaders and explore the programming options.

The new 16,000-square-foot facility houses Sunday morning and weeknight activities for children in kindergarten through high school.

Weeknight programming includes a music program for kids kindergarten through grade six,

December and spring musicals with singing, dancing, acting, staging, costumes and lighting.

Wednesday night programming for 3-yearolds through fifth-graders includes Bible study, games, crafts and the chance to earn “points” for the prize store. Family activities scheduled in the new building include Oakfest on Oct. 28 with a chili cook-off, trunk or treating, games and indoor laser tag. Christian family musician Rob Biagi will perform Wed., Nov. 7.

At the Christmas Family Fun Night in December, children and parents can decorate cookies, make Christmas ornaments and sing carols.
