Living history is coming to Reagan Library

The American Revolution will come alive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Sept. 16-17, at the Reagan Library when the Brigade of the American Revolution, an international historical association, presents a Revolutionary encampment and battle reenactments.

With muskets and cannons booming, U.S Continental soldiers will confront British Redcoats on the battlefield, reenacting such famous battles as the April 19, 1775 skirmish at Lexington, Mass., which marked the beginning of the American Revolution.

In addition to Revolutionary War and military demonstrations, costumed troops and townspeople will re-create every day colonial life through dance, metal casting, spinning and weaving, and other home life and era craft demonstrations.

The Revolutionary weekend events are free to help celebrate Constitution Day, Sept. 17.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is at 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.
