In the past several weeks Acorn
readers have heard voices condemning the indulgent treats given to children after soccer games. Giving your kids a gooey wedge of pizza and a hefty coke after an hour of activity is some sort of parental malfeasance, they suggest, an unwholesome distraction from the true object of the day.

But the big buffet spread is not the most important business of the day at a wedding, and getting your son a foam finger is not the main reason you make the trek to Dodger ...
