Lions hire hoops coach




Oaks Christian High School has hired A.J. Moye as varsity boys’ basketball head coach.

Moye is a former Indiana University All-American and professional standout.

Last season, Moye distinguished himself while serving as the OCHS assistant head basketball coach.

Moye brings with him more than a decade of experience at the college and pro level. In 2004 he was named one of the top 15 players in the Big Ten Conference. He went on to lead European pro teams in Finland, Iceland and Germany.

He has prepared top college players for the NBA draft. In 2012, he was responsible for court workouts for Marcus and Markieff Morris, Jrue and Justin Holiday, Tyler Honeycutt and the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NBA draft, Thomas Robinson.

In his high school career, Moye attended Westlake High School in Atlanta, where as a senior he was named the USA Today State Player of the Year (2000).
