Likes Koehler, Schwarz, Weber

Three candidates stand out in Agoura Hills in terms of their experience, their service to the community and their knowledge of the city.

Harry Schwarz, Bill Koehler, and Denis Weber have shown that they deserve the support of the voters they have worked so hard to serve. All three have been president of their respective homeowners associations, which is excellent preparation for serving the larger community. All three have devoted countless hours to the community before running for council or accepting an appointment to the planning commission.

As commissioners, Schwarz and Koehler have shown a clear understanding of the city’s general plan and have worked to balance quality development with open space preservation and neighborhood protection. I am especially proud of the work done by Harry Schwarz since I appointed him to the planning commission in 1997. As a council member, Weber has kept the emphasis on public safety and sound management at city hall.

These are three men who did not just show up at election time, but did the hard work while no one was paying attention. Our city is so much better off for their efforts. Our tax revenue base has grown steadily without “big mart” traffic impacting our neighborhoods. Over 40 percent of the city has been put into protected open space. Numerous bill boards and pole signs have been removed— the latest just last September. The Kanan interchange is underway with funding secured. Our community remains safe and well protected. Beautification efforts have improved our streets and parks and more is underway.

Other candidates may make promises or fabricate issues, but these three are the real deal. They have done the hard work and achieved great results. I will be voting for Harry Schwarz, Bill Koehler, and Denis Weber on Nov. 8. Ed Corridori Agoura Hills mayor
