Library gets new director

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of R. Duke Blackwood as executive director of the Reagan Foundation.

Currently director of the library and museum, Blackwood oversees operations of federal employees in key archival, curatorial, research and administrative functions.

In his new role, he’ll lead the Reagan Foundation staff in preserving the legacy of President Reagan and guide the operation of the Air Force One Pavilion.

"Duke has done a wonderful job as director of the library," said former First Lady Nancy Reagan, "and I am so pleased that he will now be leading the Reagan Foundation."

Blackwood formerly was executive director of USC’s Associates, the premier academic support organization of the University of Southern California.
