Library card opens new worlds

The Los Angeles County Library is rolling out a new student card as part of the Library Card Challenge, a national effort to ensure that every child enrolled in school has access to the books and resources of public libraries.
The new L.A. County Library student card is for students age 17 and under. The card will allow students to check out up to three print items at a time, fine- free.
Students will also have full access to online resources such as free tutoring, language classes and databases...
