Lecture to detail Nazi persecution of gays

MAKING A POINT— Samuel Torvend will discuss the life of Robert Oelbermann, a gay Lutheran who died in the Dachau concentration camp, at Cal Lutheran University on Feb. 3.
Samuel Torvend, a theologian from Pacific Lutheran University, will discuss “The Passion of Robert Oelbermann: The Persecution of Homosexuals in Nazi Germany” at 7 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 23 in Overton Hall, Memorial Parkway near Regent Avenue, on the Thousand Oaks campus of Cal Lutheran University.
