Learn health benefits of drumming





The UCLA Arts and Healing program will offer a workshop on the health benefits of drumming, including scientific evidence from integrative medicine, from 7 to 9 p.m. Mon., March 10 at the Semel Institute Auditorium, Room C8-183, 720 Westwood Plaza on the UCLA campus.

Author and music therapist Christine Stevens is the leader. The program consists of experiential exercises and demonstrations with health professionals and audience volunteers on how to use drumming with different client groups and in one-to-one therapy.

The public is invited. Remo drums and other percussion instruments are provided. Preregistration is recommended. The cost is $5 for the workshop and $8 for parking.
