Latest scoop on the poop

Happy New Year to my wonderful Oak Park neighbors and to their lovely dogs, but would you please pick up after your pups?

There is dog poop everywhere: on our lawns, on the open space trails and slopes and even on the pavements.

I know some of you think your dog’s poop is fertilizer. If that were the case, our entire neighborhood would be a bouquet of spring foliage. It’s not.

The only thing dog poop attracts are rodents and flies. Besides being unsightly, your dog’s poop smells.

I assume you are creating a philosophical thought experiment regarding the observation and knowledge of reality: “If my dog poops on my neighbor’s lawn and I don’t see it, is it still dog poop on my neighbor’s lawn?”

Yes, it is.

Finally, for those who bag their pup’s poop but leave the bag on the side of the road, you render me speechless.

Really?
