Las Virgenes Unified School District to pay $3.25 million for new middle school site

Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD) reached an 11th hour settlement last week with owners of the new Calabasas middle school site by agreeing to purchase the 31-acre property for $3.25 million.
The disputed land sale was scheduled to go to a jury trial Feb. 25 after LVUSD and Calabasas Estates, owners of the property, had been unable to settle on a price.
