Language program spoken highly of at Oak Park

Soon, all K12 Oak Park students will learn about the Chinese language and culture, thanks to a $580,000 federal grant the school district was just awarded.

The Foreign Language Assistance Program Grant, administered by the United States Department of Education, was awarded to 41 schools this year.

“We are looking forward to offering one of the most comprehensive programs for Chinese language acquisition in the nation,” Superintendent Tony Knight said.
