The Kiwanis Club of Thousand Oaks will launch a major fundraiser with help from Cal Lutheran University and the Southeast Ventura County YMCA.

The club will host its inaugural Youth Sports Extravaganza/ Give Back Games—a day of athletic competitions for youths ages 6 and 18—from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., March 24 at CLU in Thousand Oaks.

Basketball, football and soccer will be offered under the guidance of CLU athletic coaches and staff along with coaches from Newbury Park-based Sports Academy and Westlake Athletic Club.

Basketball teams representing different community organizations will compete throughout the day inside Gilbert Arena.

In addition, the TNT Dunk Squad will perform, and food booths, kids games, music and a silent auction will be offered.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Families are $40 in advance and $50 at the door. A liability release must be signed during registration, which begins at 9 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will be shared by the Kiwanis to support its school clubs, the SEVC YMCA and Manna, the Conejo Valley food bank.
