Kids to learn about nocturnal wildlife





"Nighttime in Nature" is the theme of the next Youth Naturalist Program presented by Mountains Restoration Trust from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 9 at Headwaters Corner, 3815 Old Topanga Canyon Road, Calabasas.


Open to youth ages 8 to 12, the environmental education program will help children discover the nightlife of wildlife in the Santa Monica Mountains.


Participants will learn why some animals stay up all night instead of the daytime. A related craft will be included.


The cost is $15 per child. Reservations are required and may be made by calling Susan Haugland at (818) 591-1701, ext. 181.
