Kids’ art goes international



LISA ADAMS/The Acorn PEACE THROUGH EDUCATION-Kate Anders, Las Virgenes Unified School District mentor teacher, left, and Russian teacher Yelena Nikitina judge the work in a district contest. Students were divided into four grade categories (K-3, 4-5, 6-8 and 9-12). Young artists depicted what international education means to them. The purpose was to increase international awareness. The art will be on display for one month at the Graphaids Art Store in the city of Agoura Hills.
