Members of the rock band Kansas aren’t laying their weary heads to rest. They’re hitting the road hard to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their “Leftoverture” album, which featured the hit “Carry On Wayward Son.”

The group will play the album in its entirety, along with fan favorites like “Dust in the Wind” and “Point of Know Return,” when it performs at 7:30 p.m. Wed., Sept. 13 in the Kavli Theatre at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

The show features more than two hours of the group’s classic music including hit songs, deep cuts and tunes from the band’s 2016 CD, “The Prelude Implicit.”

The “Leftoverture” album—released in October 1976—sold more than five million copies. It was penned by former member Kerry Livgren.
