Danielle Kang won the LPGA Drive On Championship last weekend at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.
The women’s golf superstar out of Oak Park and Westlake high schools shot a 2-under-par 70 on Sunday to secure the first LPGA Tour event in more than five months. The tour, like the rest of the sports world, had been on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Kang, the top-ranked American golfer in the world, is No. 2 overall after winning the fourth LPGA tournament of her pro career.
