The 18-year-old golfer from Westlake Village defended her U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship on Sunday with a 6-and-5 victory over Moriya Jutanugarn of Thailand at Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, R.I.
Following the win, Kang, a 2009 Westlake High graduate, confirmed that she is turning pro.
