Now that school is back in, the traffic in the morning on southbound Kanan is ridiculous. It should not take 25 minutes to go less than 2 miles.
The traffic pattern to enter the southbound 101 Freeway is nothing more than a bottleneck. We used to have two lanes to enter the freeway. Having to deal with the multiple vehicles that cut in at the last second is also problematic.
I’m trying to understand what the City of Agoura was thinking when they came up with this plan, not to mention having six traffic lights between Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Agoura Road. The timing sequences of these lights only adds to the traffic.
Maybe it’s time to re-stripe and have two lanes again. The on-ramp is one mile long, which gives drivers plenty of time to enter the freeway. Anything is better than what we have now.
