Jewish school founder Levine will be missed



Last month more than 650 mourners gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Shirley Levine, who died Jan. 9.
Levine was founding head of school of both Abraham Joshua Heschel in Northridge and Ilan Ramon Day School (previously known as Heschel West Day School) in Agoura Hills.
Heschel West Day School began 18 years ago as a vision of four families to bring Jewish education to the Conejo Valley. These founding families were Gary and Susan Polson, Bernard and Melanie Gero, Risa and Don Gruberg...
