The second in our series on the Gospel writers looks at Mark, the shortest and most energetic of the four Gospels.
Jesus is a man of action. He’s constantly on the move. We see the words “and,” “immediately” and “at once.” He’s healing, teaching and performing miracles nonstop, except for brief periods of prayer.
Unlike the other Gospels, the book has no long sermons (Matthew), symbolic parables (Luke) or complex doctrine (John). It’s simple and direct.
