It’s all Greek to us at annual festival


The 40th annual Ventura County Greek Festival will take place Friday through Sunday, June 22 to 24 at Freedom Park by the Camarillo Airport.

Hosted by St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Camarillo, the event will have activities for the whole family.

The weekend will have authentic Greek foods like gyros, souvlaki, mousaka and pastichio, and pastries including baklava, glaktoboureko and saragli.

Greek music and dancing, vendors, and rides and games for kids will be offered.

All festival proceeds will benefit the St. Demetrios Building Fund.

The church will also host dance lessons prior to the festival from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Tues., June 19 at 5575 Santa Rosa Road, Camarillo. The cost of $15 includes water and snacks. Proceeds from this event will benefit the dance program. For reservations, email stdemdance@gmail.com.
