Inspired by story, librarian delivers 1,000 paper wishes

Nearly half a century ago, a 12-year-old girl in Hiroshima died of leukemia.
She was 2 when the atomic bomb was dropped on that city, one of the thousands who died from radioactive fallout.
Her name was Sadako Sasaki, and her story is well known to the children of Oak Hills Elementary School, thanks to the efforts of school librarian Marie Adams.
